Metadata Remover
Files uploaded by users often contains metadata. A mobile phone can store the GPS coordinates where an image was take and the name of the photographer in the metadata of the image file.
Metadata is a liability. Via metadata users often unintentionally and unknowingly share personal identifiable information. Under data laws, such as the GDPR and CCPA, processing and storing personal identifiable information brings extra legal requirements.
